YACYSHYN Ollie: July 15, 1944 October 19, 2013. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ollie Yacyshyn (nee Babiak) at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, surrounded by her loving family, in her 69th year. Left to cherish her memory is her husband David, children, Tamara Green (Vincent), Jacqueline Mosiondz (Barry) and Jason Yacyshyn (Brandie McDuff and children Austin and Bailey), brothers and sisters, Steve Babiak, Michael Babiak (Stephanie), Phyllis Mehling (Dennis), John Babiak (Diane), Donald Babiak (Patricia), and Leona Dudych (Garry). Ollie and David were married on November 25, 1967 in Durban, Manitoba and after a short stint in Edmonton, they settled on a farm in the Durban area for approximately 38 years before retiring at the Monterey Estates in Brandon, Manitoba. Ollie loved to prepare generous amounts of food for friends and family and going on trips to various casinos across Canada and the USA. Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Marys Ukrainian Catholic Church, 927 Assiniboine Avenue, Brandon, Manitoba on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 11:00 am. with Rev. Fr. Michael Tkachuk officiating and Stella Fedeniuk as Cantor.
