HERBERT: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Ronald Herbert. He passed away peacefully Sunday November 3, 2013. Brian was predeceased by his mother, Ruth, father, Charles, sister Patricia and brother, Clinton. Brian is survived, and sadly missed, by his wife, Jackie, his daughters, Claire (George), Fiona and Samantha (Jason), and son Christopher (Agatha); his four grandchildren, Caleb, Emily, and Viola and Jessica; as well as countless friends in Brandon and the UK. Brian was born June 8, 1928, in Bethnal Green, England. Brian moved to Canada in 1975, where he made his home in Brandon. He worked at Brandon General Hospital until his retirement. A service will be held at 1030 am on Sunday, November 10th at the Church of the Resurrection located in the Seventh Day Adventist Church building, 3319 Park Ave., Brandon, Manitoba. Archdeacon Paul Crossland will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Church of the Resurrection at 1-411 Lorne Ave., Brandon, MB, R7A O59 or the Canadian Bible Society (952 St. Mary’s Road, Winnipeg, MB, R2M 3R8).
