GROVES: Lloyd Allen Groves (1927-2013). On November 6th, 2013 Lloyd passed away suddenly at Country Meadows Personal Care Home in Neepawa, Manitoba. Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Carol (Roger) Delveaux of Sherwood Park, AB and Norma (Jack) Keown of Roblin, MB; four grandchildren, Craig (Leanne), Carey (David), Darren (Melanie), Ryan (Zoe); ten great-grandchildren, Madison, Kylee, Taylor, Ashley, Delanie, Austin, Ethan, Corbin, Kaylynn and London; sister-in-law Betty (Denny) Philip; nieces, nephews and several cousins. Lloyd was predeceased by his first wife Kaye; second wife Fay; parents Bill and Viola; sister Bernice Zeke and brother Arnett. Lloyd was born on January 28th, 1927 in the Bunclody district. He farmed in this area until he retired in the late 70's. He was an excellent farmer and a strong supporter of John Deere equipment. Lloyd was an avid curler and took in many bonspiels over the years. He also enjoyed square dancing. After retirement Lloyd and Kaye purchased a place in Mesa, Arizona where they enjoyed many winters with their relatives and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Poettcker and all the nurses and staff at Country Meadows Personal Care Home for their wonderful care. Funeral service will take place, Tuesday, November 12th at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Church, 1515-6th Street, Brandon, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cancer Society. Whites Funeral Home of Neepawa in care of arrangements.
