CLARK: Ada Elsa (née Osborne) It is with a mixture of both sadness and joy that we say not goodbye, but bon voyage to our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Ada died peacefully in Vancouver on November 5, 2013 after a full life of 97 years. She will be remembered for her forever cheery persona, and the warmth that she showered on everyone. Ada was born in Forget, Saskatchewan to Edith and Elwood Osborne on December 24, 1915, and spent her childhood years in both Saskatchewan and Manitoba. After graduating from Normal School in Winnipeg, Ada took a teaching position at Poplar Hill School where she met and married Fraser Clark. Four boys, Bob, Jim, John, and William, followed as did a life around farming, teaching school, music, and her staunch believe in Christ. In particular, Ada loved her music and until her last days, took great pleasure in playing the piano. Ada is predeceased by husband, Fraser, sons Bob and William, sisters Doris and Dorothy, and granddaughter Joanne. She is survived by sons Jim and John, brothers Gordon and Bert, grandchildren Rob, Gord, Andrew, Ginny, Cindy, Sue, Jeff, Debbie, and Jesse, and great grandchildren Liam, Tim, Kate, Rowan, Lindsay, Macailyn, Mackenzie, and Sydney. Funeral services will be held at Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. As per Adas wishes, interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Gardens next to Fraser and Bob.
