CHIEF: Nicole Jennifer Joyce (Anpao Mani Win). Suddenly, on February 1, 2014, our dear sister, mother, daughter, auntie, cousin and dear friend was taken to be with the creator. Nicole was predeceased by her father Gordon on February 3, 2001, sister Fern Leslie on March 2, 1969, brother Gordie on June 15, 1991, maternal grandmother Jenny on October 19, 1991, and grandfather James on February 13, 1983. Nicole was such a loving, caring person who loved everyone around her, especially our mother. She always thought of others before herself. After graduation, she worked hard through the years and her most recent accomplishment was receiving her certificate as a Pharmacist Technician. She grew up in and around the Souris and Brandon area making and meeting numerous friends and co-workers until her passing. She leaves to mourn her companion John, son Tyler (Lindsay), mother Bertha, siblings James (Terri), Roxanne (Greg), Warren (Marlene), Marcy (Desmond), Justin (Leanne), Aunt Carrie, Uncle Mike, Aunt Judy and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Traditional wake will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at the Sioux Valley Veterans’ Hall at 5:00 p.m., with funeral services on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Harold Blacksmith and Oswald McKay will officiate. Active Pallbearers will be Chuck Blacksmith, Tyrone Blacksmith, Greg Bone, Sterling Hotaine, Christopher Brown and Garth Blacksmith. All in attendance will be considered Honorary Pallbearers.
