MORROW: John Roe Morrow (Jack) October 3, 1931- March 6, 2014. Jack passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Jack leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife Olga of 23 years. His children, son Robert John (Sandra Geddes), Liam & Katie; daughter, Laura Louise (Dave Davies), Julian Morrow Gray (Carolyn) & Ryan, Anton Morrow Gray, Brendan Morrow Gray, brother, Bob (Barb); nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins. Also his stepsons, Richard and Wilfred Rupp. Jack was predeceased by his parents John Charles Morrow and Violet Jane Roe; his sister Grace Imelda Winton; and Mabel, mother of his children. Jack was born in Yorkton, SK. The family moved to Raymore, SK to run the Raymore Hotel. He attended school in Raymore and Campion College in Regina. Jack articled with Deloittes in Regina and attained his C. A. designation in 1956. In 1957 Jack moved his family to Virden, MB to practice with Gordon Horne. In 1963, Jack formed the firm Morrow Leckie. Jack moved to Brandon, Mb in 1973 to join Meyers Norris Penny & Co. He transferred to the Winnipeg office in 1983 as managing and tax partner. Jack retired from MNP in 1991. During his retirement, Jack & Olga spent many happy winters in Florida. Heartfelt thanks to the doctors, Nurses and Aides from 3 south, Grace Hospital who provided great comfort to Jack. Thanks also to Olgas Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Chapter for their tremendous support; Margarete & Vic; Kathy & Barry. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Manitoba CancerCare, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9 or a charity of choice. Cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of Jacks life on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery).Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 204-949-2200.
