GERHARDT: Mildred Elizabeth Gerhardt (nee Bogner) passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Mildred was born October 2, 1918 in Aneroid, Saskatchewan to John and Anna (nee Arneson) Bogner. Her early education was in two country schools: Pinto Creek and Pickwell. She entered Brandon General Hospital, School of Nursing on September 18, 1938, graduating on May 18, 1941 and worked in several areas of the hospital. Mildred and Frederick Gerhardt were married October 3, 1943 and resided in Brandon. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick on January 12, 1982, father in 1948 and mother in 1984, sister Alva Bogner in 1986 and brother Clarence in 2010. She is mourned by her step-daughters Erma (Alfred) Lange, Pearl Niven and Joyce (Harold) Hoffman, sister Joan (Donald) Stitt, sister-in-law Jean Bogner, eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 3101 Victoria Avenue on Monday, June 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Pastor Edmund Mielke will officiate. Interment will take place at the Brandon Cemetery. Donations in memory of Mildred may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 3101 Victoria Avenue, Brandon, Manitoba, R7B 3P3. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com.
