BRUMMUND: Robert Bob Lee Brummund, September 2, 1955 - June 5, 2014. In the early morning hours on Thursday, June 5, 2014, Bob passed away peacefully after a short struggle with cancer in Surrey, BC. Bob will be eternally missed and is survived by his loving mother Daisy Brummund, his brothers David (Kim) & George, and his baby sister Marjorie (Eric), his nieces Jennifer Davies (Scott), Alicia Brummund (John), Jody Brummund (Dan), and Holly Brummund (Dalton), and his close friend Gertrudis (Jolly) Calegan. Bob was predeceased by his father, Albert Brummund. Bob was born in Brandon, MB and spent his formative years there until 1971 when the family moved to Kamloops, BC. After graduating high school in 1973, he undertook a career in the sheet metal trade which took him to Red Deer, AB for a time, to Yellowknife, NWT, to Kamloops, BC and finally to New Westminster, BC. Bob was a long time member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union, and operated his own business, Efficient Air. One of Bobs pastimes was riding his bicycle, sometimes over vast distances. He toured many parts of BC, including one of his favourites, Kettle Valley Trails. Bob had a wonderful spirit in spite of the cards he was dealt. He was generous to a fault, always was able to smile even up to his last days on this earth, and would do anything to protect the well being of his family and friends. His presence in the lives of all that knew him will be missed. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bobs name can be made to the charity of your choice. A memorial service will held at a later date.
