BARTEAUX: It is with great sadness we announce Jack’s death on June 19, 2014 at the Russell Hospital. Jack was born on January 20, 1928 to Evereld “May” (Stanton) and Orlando Barteaux. He attended Oxford School then took up farming as his life time profession. He married Ruth Barnes in 1950 and they raised a family of six children Bob (Marj), Barb (Ivan) Bicknell, Ron (Jean), Maryanne (Robert) Mushumanski, Kari (Jim) Lee, Sara (Alan) Henderson. They have fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He is survived by his sister Evereld Pittendreigh, brothers Phil (Bev), Bruce (Karen), sisters-in-law Ida Barteaux and Mary Lou (Dave) Reid, brother-in-law David Barnes. He was predeceased by brother George, brother-in-law Gerald (Eleanor) Barnes and sister-in-law Rilla (Cliff) Lougheed. A Celebration of Jack’s Life will be held at the Birtle Community Hall on Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
