GREAVES: Edna May. May 9, 1911 - June 14, 2014. Edna, age 103, passed away at her residence in Chinook Intercare Centre, in Calgary, with her loving family at her side. Edna is survived by four children, Kathy Bilinski of White Rock, BC, Bill Greaves of Sidney, BC, Lynn Rowley (Paul) of Calgary, AB, and Sandra Weir of Calgary, AB. Mom leaves 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 5 great- great-grandchildren; 2 sister- in-laws, Winnifred Greaves and Ruth Grant, both of Brandon, MB; and numerous nieces and nephews. Edna was born in Strasbourg, SK, and her first job, in Oyen SK, was playing the piano for silent movies. She was predeceased by her parents, Edith and Walter Johnston; brother, Russell; and sister, Vera Lefrancois. Her husband of 68 years, Charlie Greaves, predeceased her on October 31, 2003. She was also predeceased by 7 grandchildren; a daughter- in-law; and 3 sons-in-law. A Memorial Service will be held in Calgary at the Haysboro Community Hall (1204- 89 Avenue S.W.) on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. Her family will take her ashes back to Brandon, MB, at a later date where she will be laid to rest beside her loving husband, Charlie.
