FOURRE: Marie Lena Fourre of Brandon, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Marie was born at Fork River, Manitoba on March 24, 1947, daughter of Peter and Jean Wasylyk. She received her early education at Ducan School. As a young girl, Marie was a gifted sculptor of bronze pictures. Marie worked in the food industry for fifty years as a chef and manageress. She loved this work and did it well. Elvis Presley was Marie's #1 artist. If you were "gonna rock" with her, it was Elvis all the way. Marie also loved her large collection of Angels. Reading and watching true stories was a favorite pastime. HLN and ID were her preferred channels. Marie's flower gardens were her pride and joy. She was an organizer of many walk-a-thons for Cancer, silent auctions and anything to help a child with life threatening diseases. She loved all family functions. There were not many that she missed. At her illness, her family will remember the Promise of Love she made to her soul mate Rick. "I love you, she said, as she wrapped her arms around him, and gave him her last kiss. She held his face so gently in her hands and he said, I love you too. Love shone that day, from her bed of death; and filled that room with loves own light. This love of ours can never be defined, it is beyond all known love. Promise me you will not leave me she said, stay by me until I go; and stay he did, until our Lord called her home." Marie will be remembered with love and fondness by her soul mate Rick; her sons, Troy Kimball, Chris Kimball and Terry Kimball. Her siblings Shirley Slugoski, Natalie Wasylyk, Adeline Jones, Peter Wasylyk, and all her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Jean and Peter Wasylyk, sister Rose Marie Wasylyk, brothers Walter Wasylyk and Steve Wasylyk Robins. No formal ceremony will be held at this time. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Marie to Lung Cancer Canada, 10 St. Mary Street, Suite 315, Toronto, ON M4Y 1P9. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com. Arrangements with Memories Chapel & Pre-Planning Centre, 204-727-0330.
