MORSON: Ina Jeanette Morson (nee Clark) died peacefully at Fairview Home in Brandon, Manitoba, on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at 90 years of age. Born in Brandon on June 22, 1924, Ina was the middle child of Robert and Jane Clark who had immigrated from Scotland early in their marriage. Growing up in Brandon, Ina graduated from Brandon Collegiate Institute. Among her early adventures in adult life was leaving home with three girlfriends to work in a munitions factory in Fort William. Returning to Brandon, she became the bride of Mike Morson on February 14, 1948. They began their married life farming near Langbank, Saskatchewan, moving to Brandon in 1959. Working side by side with her husband, Ina was an equal partner in the building of two successful businesses in Brandon, Green Acres Confectionery and Morson's Grocery. Following Mike's death in 1989, Ina remained in their home until moving to Lions Manor in 1999. In 2012 she moved to reside in Fairview Home. Ina loved her days as a working wife and mother and spoke often of the camaraderie and friendship she enjoyed with co-workers, neighbours and friends. She treasured her family and the love and laughter she shared with them. The many family adventures and get-togethers created wonderful memories. Ina was deeply loved and will be missed very much. Ina is survived by her daughters Kathy (Bob) Thornborough and Patti (Les) Taschuk. She was Grandma to Chelsi (Austen) Reed, Matthew Kindrat, Lucas (Kathryn) Kindrat and Adam Thornborough and Great-Grandma to Gavin and Liam Reed and Mya Kindrat. She is also survived by sisters Peggy (Alex) Matheson and Jean Thomson, brother-in-law Bill Morson, many nephews and a niece. Ina was pre-deceased by Mike, her two brothers Robert and Norman Clark, her brother-in-law Lloyd Thomson and her two sisters-in-law Sheila Clark and Hazel Morson. The graveside service was held on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at the Brandon Cemetery, with Rev. Dr. Dong-Ha Kim of First Presbyterian Church officiating. A reception for family and friends followed at Memories Chapel.
