HUTTON: Murray Robert "Moe" Hutton, age 67 years, of the Roseland district, passed away at his residence on Thursday, October 23, 2014. Moe was born an only child to John and Flora Hutton in Brandon, Manitoba on October 9, 1947. He was raised on the farm and remained there until his passing. Moe attended Cornwallis School up to grade eight and carried on to Neelin for grade nine before leaving to farm with his dad and uncle Jack. Moe continued to farm both grain and livestock his entire life. He belonged to the Roseland Curling Club and the Brandon South - Carroll 4-H Club. Moe showed horses and cattle and won Grand Champion steer in Regina. He was proud to get Brent and Matty into 4-H and to be able to pass on his skills to them of breaking and showing cattle. Moe loved listening to country music and the swap 'n' shop. He was known to tour the countryside in his car, checking on the farmers or whomever. Moe provided calves for the fair calf scrambles. He enjoyed auction sales, horse racing, curling, baseball and hockey; Wheat Kings games with his grandchildren and watching them play their sports of baseball, football, soccer, and hockey. He was always a thrift spender. Moe is survived by his children: Nicole Minshull, Gary (Lisa) Minshull, Rodney (Brenda) Minshull, Tim Cuthbert and Brent Minshull. "Gramps" will be greatly missed by Matty, Tammy, Trevor, Tyler, Alyssa, Brayden, Trinity and Dylan and great grandchildren Keagan and Hayli. He is also survived by his uncle John (Shirley) Hutton, cousins Jimmy Brown, Jean Lang, Linda Creighton, Bob Brown and best friend Horace Moncauskas. Moe was predeceased by his parents John and Flora Hutton and his soul mate Mary Lou Minshull. The Ceremony to Celebrate Moe's Life was held at Memories Chapel on Thursday, October 30, 2014 with Lydia Glawson officiating. Urn Bearers were Trevor Minshull and Horace Moncauskas. Family honorary bearers were his grandchildren and great- grandchildren and cousins Jim and Bob Brown. All those in attendance were considered honorary bearers. Interment followed at the Brandon Cemetery.
