FALKOWSKI: Shirley Ann Falkowski, age 60 years, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Monday, February 16, 2015. Shirley was born at Yorkton, Saskatchewan on March 26, 1954. She grew up on the farm and had a great love for pets, mainly cats. She received her education at the rural schools and Yorkton Composite Junior High. Shirley worked as a sale clerk, homemaker, and caregiver. She had a great love for cooking, making perogies and cabbage rolls and baking: pies, cakes, bread, cookies, and tarts. Shirley also had a love for gardening and her green thumb showed in her fantastic flowers beds in the summer and her indoor and outdoor plants. She will be deeply missed by her husband Jerry; son Curtis (Jodi); sister Elizabeth; brother Lawrence as well as numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins. Shirley was predeceased by her parents William and Ann Zacharuk; brothers Johnie, Orest, Ronald and sister Elaine. Visitation will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Thursday, February 19, 2015 (today) from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The Celebration of Shirley's Life will take place at Memories Chapel on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Lydia Glawson, Funeral Celebrant will officiate. Donations in memory of Shirley may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 2B3.
