LINSKI: Hope Ethel, age 80 years, passed away at the Assiniboine Centre, on Monday, March 2, 2015. Hope was born on January 9, 1935 in Imperoyal, North Woodside, Nova Scotia. She received her education at Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and at the age of sixteen, she moved to Nesbitt, Manitoba to help take care of her sister's children. One year later, she met the love of her life, Steve. Hope completed her hairdressing apprenticeship at Scory's Beauty Salon in Brandon. She was a hair dresser most of her life and with her husband, they owned Top Spot Beauty Stylists. Hope enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Game and Fish Association and the Brandon Snow-goer Association. She was an avid 10-pin bowler, winning many awards and trophies and was also a member of the Women's International Bowling Congress. She enjoyed gardening, latch hook, baking - was famous for her chocolate chip cookies, and playing cards. Hope loved to socialize at her favorite get-away location in Sandy Lake, Manitoba where she also played women's softball for the Sandy Lake Comets. But most of all, Hope loved to spend time with family and her pets. She will be greatly missed by her husband of sixty years, Steve Linski; children Kim (Milt) Leganchuk, Rick (Marie) Linski, and Mark (Heather) Linski; grandchildren: Amber (Kris), Travis, Paige, Haley (Blake), Lauren, Cody, Johannah Hope and Maddie; great granddaughter McKenzie Hope and sisters Dorothy Smith and Jean Wilson. Hope was predeceased by her parents Irvine and Ethel Harnish; brothers: Jack, Ray, Alvin, and Murray Harnish; sister Hazel Hawkins and grandson Brett Leganchuk. The Funeral Ceremony was held at Memories Chapel on Friday, March 6, 2015 with The Ven. Paul Curtis officiating. All those in attendance were considered honorary bearers.
