LUKIW: It is with great sadness that the family of Shirley Lukiw announce her passing, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, May 15, 2015 at the Assiniboine Centre. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Harry Lukiw. Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Brian (Mary), Keith (Linda) and daughter Sharon (Dave), grandchildren Derek (Mackenzie), Breanne (Matt), Danielle (Mike), Jennifer, Tiffanie (Jeff), Dayna (Chad) and great-grandchildren Wyatt, Madsen, Jaxon and Jacelyn, brother Bob (Donna) Vrooman, sisters-in-law Peggy Vrooman and Margaret Lukiw. A private family interment will take place at Rosewood Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, May 19, 2015. A Gathering of Remembrance and refreshments will follow at the George Brockie Fellowship Centre, 332-8th Street, at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations in Shirley’s memory may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 2B3.
