LUND: The death of Robert Lee Lund occurred at his residence at Brandon, Manitoba, on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the age of 56 years. Born June 8, 1958 in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Bob became a foster child at a young age. His teenage years were spent with foster parents Brian and Marilyn Nelson before joining the military. Military was his career as a soldier and cook. Bob achieved the rank of Sergeant at 26th Field Regiment in Brandon. He also had postings at Shilo MB, Dana SK, and Chilliwack BC and had overseas postings in Cyprus, Golan Heights and Bosnia. Bob had various civilian jobs, his last job for almost four years was at ATCO Structures and Logistics based in Calgary, working in Estevan SK, and Peace River AB. His interest was training other cooks to become good chefs. Bob is survived by his wife Margaret of 34 years, daughter Catherine, son Shawn, grandchildren Lucas and Shelby, sister Betty (Rick) Anderson, brother Frank (Cheryl) Lund and nephews and nieces, half brother Kevin and another brother and sister. Also surviving are brothers-in-law Albert (Sally) Fearnley and Jim (Janet) Fearnley and their families, and Irene Lippett, as well as aunt and uncle, Carol and Dick Piper, and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his father Kirkland Lund, mother Arlene LeBlanc, father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Vera Fearnley and brother-in-law Tom Fearnley. The Funeral Ceremony took place on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at St. Matthews Anglican Cathedral with Rev. Dr. Iain Elliott and Rev. Dr. R. Glenn Ball officiating. Interment followed at Rapid City Cemetery. Pallbearers were members of 26th Field Regiment, Brandon and honorary pallbearers were UN Vet Peacekeepers.
