CAMPBELL: It is with great sorrow that the family of Jean Campbell announces her passing at the age of 77 on June 16, 2015 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, with her family by her side. She was dearly loved by her family and will be missed profoundly. Jean was born in the R.M. of Rossburn on February 17, 1938, along with her twin brother, Peter. They were babies eight and nine in a family of fourteen. Throughout her life, Mom enjoyed this large family and all of the festivities, occasions, and dynamics that such a large family created. She moved to Brandon at an early age where she met and later married Maurice William Campbell on June 21, 1958. They were blessed with four children Cindy (Keith), Brian (Cathy), twins Charlyne (Dion), and Marlyne (Greg). She was further blessed with five grandchildren Jay, Jesse, Jack, Will, and Adyson. The grandchildren have many wonderful memories of laugher and just being silly with Grandma. Moms sense of humor and heart of gold attracted many friends and many nick names the most recent being Baby Doll by her friends at Sokol Manor. She enjoyed Bingo, ceramics, a cup of tea with friends, scratch tickets, and board games. She was an amazing cook and her mincemeat tarts and shortbread at Christmas were not only delicious - but works of art. She tended to her flowers over the years with love and tenderness and her green thumb put many to shame. Mom was very playful and always made sure she was looking her best. Throughout her life she overcame many health issues and obstacles - always managing to work things out in her own unique way. Jean was predeceased by Maurice in 2000. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to Dr. Jean Deong for the kind and tender care she provided to Mom over many years. A service to celebrate Jeans life will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Monday, June 22, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. For those choosing to do so, donations may be made in Jeans memory to the Sokol Tenants Association c/o 30 13th Street North, Brandon, MB, R7A 6T1.Messages of condolence may be placed at www.brockiedonovan.com.
