BROTHERSTON: Joyce May (Mason) September 8th, 1931-May 5th, 2015. Joyce was born in Melita, Manitoba. She had four sisters (Gertrude, Yvonne, Donna, and Margaret), and a brother (Cecil). She went to Melita School and spent her younger years working in Melita, Flin Flon, and Whitehorse where she met and married Morley Brotherston who was in the military at the time. They spent many years stationed in numerous locations across Canada and abroad. Joyce belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary in Brandon for a number of years and served as president for a term. She liked to play shuffleboard, bowl, and was interested in ceramics and crafts. She is survived by her husband (Morley), children (Richard, Daniel, and Robert), and four grandchildren (Ty, Taylor, Ashley and Gary). A private family service to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held on August 28th at the Brandon Cemetery.
