DEMCHUK: Lorne Demchuk passed away in Brandon on October 18, 2015 at the age of 71 years. He was born in Stenen, Saskatchewan and grew up near Rounthwaite, Manitoba. He enjoyed pestering his brother Richard, and later, enjoying his friends. He held various jobs until he started his 32 year career at the Brandon City Police. Married to Elsie in 1967, they had two children, Candace, then David, now married to Darlene. He loved them all. He also enjoyed cars, motorcycles, and hobby farming south of town, where they lived almost 40 years. Lorne also had a private investigation company and later worked for the Sheriffs. He was predeceased by parents Walter and Anne, sister-in-law Fern, many aunts and uncles, including special couple Uncle Paul and Aunt Mary. Many thanks to Brockie Donovan, Kim Lewarne, and former colleagues for the moving funeral service on October 23rd. The family remain overwhelmed by peoples kindness. The Demchuk family wish to thank everyone for their cards, phone calls, delicious food, visits, flowers and continued support.
