DUNNING: In loving memory of our husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Jano Gordon Dunning, who passed away peacefully at the age of 83 years on November 3, 2015, at the Minnedosa Health Centre. Jano was born on March 29, 1932 in Onanole, Manitoba. He served in the army for 19 years and served one year in Germany. He lived in Winnipeg until moving to Erickson in 1971 where he worked as a mechanic at the Erickson Co-op Garage and then for Parkwood Auto in Erickson. He spent his retired years as a small engine repair man for the Town of Erickson. In his spare time, he was a true sport fanatic, watching whatever sport that was on TSN. Jano will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Iona (Betty) and his six children: Debbie McLaughlin (Nelson), Glennie Hrynkiw (Walter), Brenda Broney (Jim), Kevin Dunning, Cheryl Barr (Stuart) and Darren Dunning (Barb); 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his mother, Jessie, father, Leonard, and 4 brothers: Arthur, Edward, Dennis and David and 3 sisters: Marjorie, Phyllis and Donna. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at the Erickson Legion Hall. Elgin Hall will officiate.
