BEDIENT: With sadness the family of Katharine "Kathy" Bedient announce that she passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Born September 12, 1961, Kathy was the youngest child of John and Agnes Fehr. Growing up in New Bothwell, Kathy moved with her family to Paraguay for a few years when she was nine years old. Upon returning to Canada, and the completion of her education, Kathy studied massage therapy and reflexology. In 1995, together with her daughters, Kathy moved to Brandon from Steinbach opening a reflexology business. In December of the following year, she married Brian, who moved from Ste. Anne after dating for a few years. Kathy was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007 and was in remission until July 2010 when she was diagnosed with bone cancer to which she succumbed. Remaining to cherish Kathy's memory are her husband Brian; daughters Danielle Roy and Stephanie Hladun; granddaughter Loralai; stepdaughter Natalie; siblings Maryann (Daryl) Folland, Margaret (Bob) Smith, John (Matill) Fehr, Peter (Elvira) Fehr and Agnes (Darcy) English as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents John and Agnes Fehr. The Service of Remembrance will take place at Memories Chapel, 330 18th Street North, on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. with viewing one-half hour prior to the service. Rev. Orton Anderson will officiate. A reception will follow at Memories Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com.
