HAYDEN: With his family by his side, John William Hayden passed away peacefully at the Assiniboine Centre on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the age of 91 years. John will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 68 years, Doris; children Murray, Bonny (Neil) and Glen (Judy); daughter-in-law Terry; sister Joy (Ken) and sisters- in-law Betty, Reta and Renee; grandchildren Jamie (Julie), Alix, (Devin) Craig, Dan, Alison (Nick), Morgan (Chris), Tanner and Shelby (Scott); and great-grandchildren Connor, Elisabeth, Jack, Bodhi and Teagan. John was predeceased by his sons Lynn and Brian and brothers Cliff, Morris, Lloyd and Del. As per John’s wishes, only a private family service will be held at this time. Interment will take place this summer at the Lyleton Cemetery at a date yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in John’s name to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, MB, R7A 2B3. The family would like to extend their thanks and deepest gratitude to the staff on the 300 Unit at the Brandon Regional Health Centre and the Palliative Care Unit at the Assiniboine Centre for the exceptional care and kindness that John received during his time there.
