KOZUN: Peacefully on Saturday, February 20, 2016, Eugene Angus Kozun, of Brandon, passed away at the Assiniboine Centre at the age of 74 years. Eugene was born to William and Sophia Kozun on June 10, 1941 at Rossburn, Manitoba. An active member of St. Marys Ukrainian Catholic Church, the Ukrainian Mens Club and the Ukrainian Reading Association Hall, Eugene enjoyed working on the farm, fishing, hunting and travelling in his spare time. Remaining to cherish the memory of Eugene are his wife, Evelyn, of 40 years; sisters Marie Gensiorek, Helen (Paul) Stanchuk, Phyllis (Henry) Hrubeniuk, Judy Kuzyk, Ollie Mackedenski, Diana (Tom) Lawless, Verlene (Randy) Bruce and brother-in-law Nelson Luhowy. He was predeceased by his parents; sister Anne Luhowy; brothers-in-law, Nick Gensiorek, Leonard Mackedenski, Adam Kozack, Tom Obedniak, Dan Kuzyk and nieces Luanna Mackedenski, Evelyn Obedniak-Mauro and Pat Kozack. The Funeral Service took place at Memories Chapel on Thursday, February 25, 2016 with Rev. Fr. Michael Tkachuk officiating and Stella Fedeniuk as Cantor. Urn bearer was Terry Kozack.
