KNUDSON: On March 15, 2016, Alvin Knudson passed away suddenly at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. He was born in Neepawa, Manitoba on December 17, 1935 and spent most of his life in Manitoba and Thunder Bay working in the transportation and travel industry. He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Viola Knudson, wife Inez, brother and sister-in-law Orville and Grace Knudson, and brothers-in-law Orval Stutt, Peter Abrams, Raymond Wilson and John Wilson. Alvin is survived by his loving wife, Ruth of Brandon; son Kevin (Michelle) Knudson and children Hannah and Halie of Thunder Bay; daughter Dawna Lockhart and children, Morgan, Cameron and Allie of Thunder Bay; brother Eldon Knudson of Sweden; sisters Leona (Jim) Wilson, Orla Stutt, Merna Knudson, Arlene (John) MacDonald, Leila (Doug) Cassie, and Lynn Abrams, sister-in-law Jean Beddome, There are numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral Services will be held in the Minnedosa Community Conference Centre, 63 Main Street North, Minnedosa, Manitoba on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 11:00 am. Mr. Jim Atcheson, Ruth Sinclair and Muriel Henderson will officiate. Interment will be in the Brandon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alvin's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, #3-824 18th Street, Brandon, MB R7A 5B7.
