ALLUM: On Friday, March 25, 2016, Marion "Lorraine" Allum (nee Bullard), age 74 years, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Born July 28, 1941 in Cartwright, Manitoba, Lorraine attended Belmont and Neelin schools. She married Harry Thomas Allum on November 24, 1962 at St. Alban's Anglican Church, Oak Lake, Manitoba. They moved to the Brandon Hills where Lorraine worked with the Wilkeson's farming. When a job opportunity arose with Cumming's Construction, Lorraine moved to Brandon. Over the years she worked various jobs including Barney's (hotel), baker at the mug and muffin, and the Crockery. A longtime member of "Primetime" at Fairview Home, Lorraine enjoyed gardening/ house plants, fresh baked bread, dainties, and playing cards. Remaining to cherish Lorraine's memory are her children: Jeannette (Harvey) Giesbrecht, James, Donna (Ken Chisamore), Randy, Ronald; grandchildren Amy, Derek, Brent, Megan, Rick, Nikki, Ashley, Catherine; great-granddaughter Ali. She also leaves in-laws, Cecil and Mavis Allum and family, George Allum, Kay Allum and Clair English as well as nieces and nephews. Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Harry, parents Henry and Mabel Bullard; siblings Hugh, Irene and Jim; in-laws Albert "Bert" Allum, Henry Allum, Doreen and Gaston Plaiser, and Thomas and Florence Allum. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a viewing to take place at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, Brandon on Thursday, March 31 from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Memories Chapel on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with viewing prior to the service. Rev. Richard Wittmeier of the Christian Life Centre will officiate. Interment will be at the Brandon Cemetery with a reception to follow at Memories Chapel. Donations in memory of Lorraine may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, MB R7A 2B3 or a charity of choice.
