GORDON: It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Joyce Marion Gordon at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, March 29, 2016. Joyce was born in Brandon on April 11, 1937 and resided in Brandon most of her life. In her earlier years she was employed as a stenographer at California Standard Oil Company and the Royal Bank, Eighth Street Branch, Brandon. In 1963, she married Ken Gordon and they celebrated 50 years of marriage in September, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Ken, and one daughter, Cheryl Ann "Cherie". Also surviving are one brother, Joe (Deany) Klepik of Calgary; niece, Christine (James) of Calgary; nephew, Peter of Toronto; great-niece Chaely of Calgary; brother-in-law, Marvin (Anne) Gordon of Winnipeg, and cousins in Poland and Toronto. Joyce also leaves good friends Ed and Natalia Hachkowski, and Rose Marie Bradley. The Service of Christian Burial will take place at Memories Chapel, 330 18th Street North, on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Fr. Patrick Neufeld of St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church will officiate. Interment will be at the Brandon Cemetery with a reception to follow at Memories Chapel. Flowers are gratefully declined.
