EASTLEY: Wilma Loree Eastley passed away at the Wawanesa Personal Care Home (Wawanesa) with family by her side on April 21, 2016. Born to Gordon and Christina (Tina) Bastard on August 10, 1923, she lived her early life on the family farm at Decker (MB) and then attended Normal School. She began her teaching career at Birnie followed by Riverbank and Bertha schools where she met and married her husband Stewart Eastley, living the majority of her life on the farm in the Berbank/Nesbitt community, followed by her retirement to Wawanesa. She is survived by sons: Ross (Delma) and Ted (Marg) and daughter Candice (Ron Hiebert), sister Gay (Gerry Hughes) and sister -in-law Bertha Eastley. She was predeceased by husband Stewart on December 26, 1984; sister Margery (Ed Cochrane); brothers-in-law George, Ernie, Bill (Eva); sisters-in-law Sarah Eastley, Mary (Russell Daymond). She provided wonderful memories for her grandchildren: Jill (Dave); Kerri (Graham); Lisa (Mike); Reed (Jamie); and Mitchell and great-grandchildren (JT, Junior, Josée Martine, Addison and Taylor Eastley, Max and Maddie Congdon) and nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Brockie Donovan Funeral Home, 332 8th Street, Brandon, MB, at 1:30 p.m. The family wishes to thank the staff of Wawanesa Personal Care Home for the wonderful care Mother received while a resident there.
