KONOWALCHUK: Marie Josephine Eveline Konowalchuk. July 2 1940 - April 10 2016. Marie was born in St Boniface, Manitoba. She passed away gracefully after a short Illness, surrounded by the loving arms of her family. She was one of 10 siblings, and was predeceased by her parents, 4 brothers, husband Steven, and grandson James Dwaine Mathison. Marie, our mom, was an amazing woman. She worked beside her husband in many hotel businesses and was truly the rock of their success. Along with her hard work ethics and dedication, she raised three daughters. She never complained when she had to stop whatever she was doing to help them in any situation. We grew to know her not only as our source of strength, but our inspiration in life. Marie's highlight in life was being with her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an amazing grandma Marie. She loved to bake, cook and loved to share meals and desserts pulling out her favourite china. A Christmas never passed when we did not enjoy her homemade perogies or cabbage rolls. Marie was taken from her family far too soon. Not a day goes by that we are not sharing a story whether in makes us cry or laugh. Marie is sadly and dearly missed by Carol (Doug) Mathison, Kathy (Danny) Ferozedin, Deborah (Johnny) Rogers. Grandchildren Becky (Clarence), Scott (Julie), Michael (Ashleigh), Nicole (Henry) and Justin, as well as eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers and three sisters and their families. Cards and words received upon her death showed that everyone who knew her appreciated her quiet nature and profound kindness. A private family burial will take place on July 30, 2016 Your heart will never leave us, your face we will never forget. A mothers love is cherishedand goes far beyond her final breath.
