BOURK: Corinne Anne Marie Bourk (nee Prefontaine) July 15, 1929 ? May 4, 2016 With sadness we announce the passing of our dear mom on May 4, 2016.  Predeceased by her husband Tom Bourk (2011),  her brothers Aurele,  Bernard (Father Aurelle, OFM), Emilien (Cecile Turenne, deceased), sister Lucille (Denis Turenne, deceased), and sister Pauline (George Ross, deceased).   Corinne is survived by her children Dwight (Carol) Harley, Lynne Harley (Gary King), Mona (David) Lancaster and Craig Harley.  She was a proud grandmother to  eight grandchildren (Jordan Dunning, Mitchell Dunning, Zachary Dunning, Kathleen Harley, Danielle Lancaster, Nicole Lancaster, Mathew Lancaster, Brooklyn Lancaster), and five great-grandchildren. Corinne will be missed by her brother Jules (Agnes) Prefontaine and sister Gertrude (Vincent Arnal ?deceased) and her many nieces and nephews.  Born and raised in St. Pierre, Manitoba, Corinne graduated from nurses training at St. Boniface Hospital, Manitoba in 1951.  In 1960 Corinne settled down in Brandon, Manitoba with her first husband Donald Harley for 35 years.  She was a dedicated Registered Nurse at the Brandon General Hospital for over 30 years, and active in the St. Augustine's Church during her time in Brandon.  In 1997 (at the age of 68 years), Corinne remarried Tom Bourk and resided in the Ottawa, On. area for  the next 15 years of her life.   Corinne was an avid walker, golfer, and bowler in her day as well as an excellent needle worker and folk artist.  She loved to entertain and went out of her way to make all feel welcome. In mom’s last few years of dealing with challenging times, she persevered with determination, acceptance and faith. A funeral mass will be held at 2 pm on Thursday July 14, 2016 at St. Augustine's Church, 327?4th St. in Brandon Manitoba, followed by a reception.  On Saturday July 16, 2016, a graveside service for family will be held at the cemetery in St. Pierre, Manitoba. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local Alzheimer's Society and the Heart and Stroke Society.
