HASLETT: Leona Haslett, age 65 years, passed away suddenly at her residence on Thursday, January 7, 2016. When not working at the Brandon Clinic, Leona was a member of the miniature club, the quilting club, and TOPS. She enjoyed shuffleboard, five pin bowling and volunteering for the Special Olympics. Leona leaves to mourn her son Andrew (Anne, grandson Archer) and her three sisters, Darlene (Ross) Williamson, Donna (Rick) Renard, and Pat (Glenn) Allen, as well as nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Walter, son Ashley, daughter Melanie and parents Lorus and Marj Thordarson. The Ceremony to Celebrate Leona's Life will take place at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow. Interment will take place at Sinclair Cemetery, Sinclair, Manitoba at 2:30 p.m. Donations in memory of Leona, may be made to the Sinclair Cemetery, Box 71, Sinclair, Manitoba, R0M 2A0.
