JONES: Evelyn Corinne Jones (nee Graham), formerly of Cypress River, MB, passed away at the Baldur Personal Care Home on Thursday August 25, 2016. Evelyn was born October 5, 1931 at Dry River, Manitoba to Alex and May Graham. Following her education and Normal School teachers training, she met and married her husband, Clare in 1951. Evelyn leaves to mourn her passing her children: Doreen (Gary) Stapleton of Sandy Lake, MB, Coreen (Russel) Zerr of Nanaimo, BC, Gordon (Lauren) Jones of Baldur, MB; her five grandchildren: Kristina (Shane), Scott (Keris), Darren (Ashley), Darrick (Debbie), and Donalee (Scott); her four great grandchildren: Lachlan, Spencer, Abigail and Norah; as well as many step grandchildren, extended relatives and friends. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Clarence in 1986. Funeral services were held on Tuesday August 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cypress River United Church with Rev. Irene Onuch officiating. Interment took place in the Bethel Cemetery, Treherne, MB, prior to the service. Pallbearers were: Scott Gordon, Darrick Jones, Shane Barnabe, Scott Mowbray, Jim Jones, Ross Ballantine. Evelyns family would like to thank Rita Hyrich, Joyce McTaggart and Marilyn Stewart for the lovely piano and vocal music for Moms service. The Order Of The Eastern Star Queen Mary Chapter No. 3 members presented Evelyns wishes beautifully with their formal funeral ceremony. We are all so grateful for the special and memorable tribute to her Grandmother given by Donalee Jones on behalf of the family. Along with many heartfelt stories and tender humour, she spoke of Evelyns dedication to family and heritage, her commitment and pride of her 33 years of teaching, her attributes as a lady, her devotion towards her Eastern Star and Cypress River United Church, her love of entertaining and her passion for community and friends. The family of Evelyn Jones wishes to thank everyone for their kindnesses and expressions of sympathy in the passing of our Mother and Grandmother. The cards, food, flowers, visits and donations to the charities of choice are all greatly appreciated. The exceptional care received from the Cypress River Home Care Workers and the Staff at Baldur Personal Care Home will always be gratefully treasured by Evelyns loved ones.
