BAGNALL: Mark S. G. Bagnall. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our husband, father, father in law, grandfather, uncle and friend on Friday, September 9, 2016 at the age of 72 years. Mark was predeceased by his father Gilbert, mother Ida and sister Doreen. He is survived by Doris, his wife of 41 years; daughter Dawn of Winnipeg, son Boyd (Shawn), Casey and Kenzie of Portage la Prairie; daughter Lynn (Dave) of Winnipeg; several nieces and nephews. Mark was born on September 9, 1944 in Portage la Prairie and was raised on the home farm near Sidney where he returned after University to farm with his father and later purchase the farm. Farming was one of Mark’s loves. He farmed all his life and also worked as a crop adjuster in later years. After retirement, he considered farming his hobby and started to travel with the love of his life, Doris. Mark took joy and pride in his family and was quite involved and interested in what they did. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye and they enjoyed raiding “Papa’s” shirt pocket for jelly beans, which he always had. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Carberry United Church with Rev. Peggy Reid officiating. Interment will follow at the Sidney Cemetery.
