GOTTFRIED: Ruby Evelyn Gottfried. After a short but hard fought battle with cancer, Mom passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the age of 82 years. Mom was pre-deceased by her husband and our father, Frank, in 2014. She is survived by her daughters: Jane (Trevor) Kusmack; Nicole (Gil) Roth; and sons: Randy; Darrell (Di Di); Jody (Kelly) and Dale (Cheryl) Gagnon; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters: Winnie Anderson; Marjorie Thompson and brother Vernie (Marion) Curle. Mom enjoyed trying out new recipes, playing cards and beating people at Scrabble. She enjoyed all sorts of crafts. She also enjoyed the many committees she was involved with. To Mom, family was everything. She was the heart, soul, rock and glue. A Come and Go Tea will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Rivers Branch #375, 622 - 2 Avenue, Rivers on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. At Mom’s request, there will be a private Graveside Service. The family would like to thank Dr. Anita Vermaak for the wonderful and compassionate care you gave to our Mom over the years.
