BILOUS: Ann Bilous passed away peacefully at the Brandon Regional Health Centre January 21, 2017. Ann was born March 15, 1936 on the family farm in the Pine River area. She was the youngest child of Tomko and Wasylyna Bilous. Ann had two boys, Kelly born in 1960 and Jerry born in 1964. Ann had a real love of gardening which was witnessed at their Princess Avenue East home where most of the yard was taken up by vegetables in the back yard and flowers in the front. In the early years Ann worked as a travel agent and later switched to real estate. She worked as a Realtor until 1985. Ann was an accomplished seamstress and decided that it was time to work for herself out of her home. This was also a time when she decided to downsize and eventually ended up in her apartment on Brandon Avenue where she resided for 28 years. In 2014 she moved to Oddfellows Corner where she continued her seamstress work until the end. She had many stories of her clients and made many friends through her work. Ann was predeceased by her parents Tomko and Wasylyna Bilous, brothers Steve, Mercil, Mike, Matt and sister Verna. She is survived by sister Nettie, son Kelly (Kathy) Pomehichuk, son Jerry (Brenda) Pomehichuk, grandson Tristin (Amanda) Pomehichuk, and great-granddaughters Elli and Dawsyn. Many thanks to the staff of the Brandon Regional Health Centre Renal Unit. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Renal Unit, c/o Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, MB R7A 2B3. There will be a gathering of remembrance on February 3rd at the Oddfellows Corner, 939-9th Street at 2:00 p.m.
