DICKEY: Anita K. Dickey (Schoch), age 78, beloved wife of John Dickey, mother of Brent and Scott, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 23, 2017 at Tri Lake Health Centre in Killarney, Manitoba due to complications arising from Lung Disease. Memorial service was held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Killarney United Church in Killarney, Manitoba. Anita was born December 1, 1938, the youngest of four children, to Robert and Annetta (nee Jackson) Schoch of Crandall, Manitoba. On January 4, 1957, Anita married John Dickey in Crandall, Manitoba. Being the wife of a banker, she lived in various locations throughout Manitoba where they developed many great and long lasting friendships. Anita was predeceased by her parents and brother, Ivan Schoch. She leaves to mourn her loving husband of 60 years, John Dickey, two sons Brent (Cathy), Scott (Lisa), grandchildren Erin (Mark) Ryback, Katrina (Curtis) Nichol, Eric, Selena and Madison, great-grandchildren Dylan and Brynn Ryback, Kohen and Nash Nichol and Isla Shorthouse. Also left to mourn are her sister Iris Price (Barrier B.C.) and brother Bob, wife Rose (The Pas), and sister-in- laws Claudia Kerwin (The Pas) and Sheila Keating (Winnipeg). Anita was proud of her two boys, and their families. She enjoyed time with family and always looked forward to occasions where all of the family could be together. Anita was especially proud of her grandchildren. She truly enjoyed attending activities that her grandchildren were involved in, whether it was hockey, soccer, baseball or karate. She was blessed in recent years with great grandchildren. She was able to meet her youngest great grandchild on the day before her passing. Anita was an avid reader and loved playing cards. Curling was another of her passions. She also loved tending to her flowers. Anita especially loved sitting on the deck and enjoying their view of Killarney lake. Anita loved to travel. She and John enjoyed many trips together, traveling to different locations around the world. Anita was especially fond of their trips to Hawaii where they made long-lasting friendships.
