FROESE: It is with great sadness that the family of Robert (Bob) Froese announces his passing. Bob Froese, 79, passed away, with his family by his side, Tuesday, May 30th 2017 at the Assiniboine Center in Brandon losing his battle with cancer. He leaves his loving wife of 53 years, Margaret (Pringle) Froese; his daughter Alana Froese-Van Loo; his daughter, Alison Rice and her husband Nyles Rice; his grandchildren Jessica, Katy, Taylor, Major and Bishop; his brother Arnold Froese and wife Gail; his sister Maxine Shamray; his sister Wilma Rollins and husband Dale; his brother William (Bill) Froese and wife Bonnie; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends. Bob was born on February 8th 1938 in Reston Manitoba to parents Abram and Ada Froese. He was raised in Brooomhill on the Froese family farm. His schooling began in Hathaway School in Broomhill and then finished at Reston Collegiate in Reston. It was at Reston Collegiate that he met his beloved wife, of 53years, Margaret Jean. They were married July 11th, 1964 at Reston United Church. Bob was a farmer at heart and his entire life revolved around the farming community. Never one to be idle he spent his years managing several Petroleum-Can stations, selling farm machinery, working for Taylor Auction Services and for the R.M. Of Pipestone. Horses were a lifelong passion for Bob and he was active in the Manitoba Quarter Horse Industry. A funeral service was held June 6th at Reston United Church from Carscaddens Funeral Home of Virden, with a private burial at Reston Cemetery.
