CREASER: Betty (Elizabeth) March 20, 1927 July 16, 2017. Peacefully, on Sunday July 16, 2017, Betty Creaser died at the Grace Hospice in Regina after a short illness. Betty is survived by her son Philip Creaser and daughter-in-law Valerie Paulson; grandchildren Ashley Creaser (Alfredo Young) and Ian Creaser; great-grandchildren Nicholas, Chloe, Emerit, Jaxon and Burke; sister and brother-in-law Marjorie and Fred Greeves and sister-in-law Janice Murray. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley and her brother Allan Murray. Betty was born on the farm near Foxwarren, Manitoba. She was always a strong and independent woman so it isnt surprising her first job was a nurse at a remote gold mine in Manitoba where she met Stan. They married November 17, 1951. Betty and Stan lived in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan for 25 years. After retirement, they moved to Clear Lake, Manitoba where they spent 10 summers and wintered in Weslaco, Texas. Living in Brandon from 1997 2009, Betty and Stan then moved to Wintergreene Estates in Regina to be near family. Betty enjoyed cards, needle point, reading and family dinners. She and Stan loved to travel and enjoyed many trips to England, Scotland, France, Belgium, Cuba and Mexico. The family would like to thank the staff of Wintergreene for the respect and kindness they showed Betty and the medical staff of the Pasqua Hospital and Grace Hospice for their compassionate care. Betty was a thoughtful and gracious woman who will be greatly missed by her family. The graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. in the Veterans' Section of the Brandon Cemetery, with lunch to follow at the Canad Inn. Donations in memory of Betty may be made to a charity of choice.Expressions of sympathymay be made atwww.memorieschapel.com
