DEONG: Fon (Don) Ting passed away peacefully at the Assiniboine Centre on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the age of 88 years. Fon Ting immigrated to Canada in 1954. He worked in the restaurant business in southeastern Saskatchewan and then in Kenora until 1966. He moved to Brandon in 1966 and worked at the Prince Edward Hotel, the Canadian Inn and the Kokono restaurants. He retired in 1989 and enjoyed 28 years of retirement. He is survived by his loving wife, Yeck Ha of 68 years; children: Yin Keung; Pui Jean; Lai Jean; Wanda and his sister Shirley Won. A Funeral Service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Messages of condolencemay be placed atwww.brockiedonovan.com
