HRYNKIW: John Hrynkiw of Brandon, MB passed away peacefully on Friday, September 8, 2017 at the age of 66 years. John was born on July 4, 1951 to Fred and Ann Hrynkiw of Onanole, MB. John spent his early years attending the one room school house in Onanole. He was a great helper filling the coal hod at the school house for the teacher. In 1975, John began working at Simplot as a instrument electrician, finishing out his career at Koch Fertilizer. He enjoyed his work, telling stories, helping others and collecting things. John especially loved collecting things for his four grandchildren. Once hesitant of travel, after one cruise John had the travel bug wanting more. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Ed Hrynkiw and is lovingly remembered by his wife Nancy; children Chris (Kelly) Sokolowski of Lethbridge, AB; Adam (Alicia) Sokolowski of Souris, MB. Brothers and sisters Harry Hrynkiw of Olds, AB; Theresa (David) Haines of Nova Scotia; Walter (Glennie) Hrynkiw of Winnipeg, MB; Zenova (Duff) Kelly of Winnipeg Beach, MB; Rudy (Chris) Hrynkiw of Grimshaw, AB; Rose Hrynkiw of Winnipeg, MB; Linda Hrynkiw of Winnipeg, MB; Jerry (Bonnie) Hrynkiw of Edmonton, AB. Grandchildren: Dillan and Mckenzie of Lethbridge, AB and Luke and Owen of Souris, MB. A Celebration of John’s Life will be held at McDiarmid Alliance Church, 635 McDiarmid Drive, on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Daryl Macauly officiating.
