HILLIS: Donna Carol (Traill) Hillis was born January 31, 1944 in Reston, Manitoba and passed away peacefully on the evening of Sunday, September 10, 2017, surrounded by her family. Donna was predeceased by her parents Stewart and Ada Traill and her parents-in-law Basil and Amy Hillis. Donna is survived by her husband Jim; her son Richard (Shelly) and her daughter Valerie (Ross) Gallinger; her grandchildren: Jessica, Nathan and Madison Hillis; Carmen (Amanda) and Nolan (Hayley) Gallinger; and great grandsons Kayden, Kage and Kallan Gallinger. Also surviving Donna are her sisters: Aveline Page; Beryl Reid and her brother Clarke (Joyce) Traill; brothers-in-law Clare (Christina); Keith (Pat) and David Hillis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at the Central United Church, 327- 8th Street, on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Craig Miller officiating. Donations in memory of Donna may be made to the Helping Hands Centre, 111-7th Street, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 3S5 or the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 2B3; or a charity of choice.
