LINTS: Harvey Roy Lints, aged 98 years, passed peacefully at home in Neepawa, MB on October 23, 2017. A graveside service was held in Hamiota, MB on October, 27, 2017. Granddaughter Megan Fulford officiated telling stories of Harveys love for family, a good game of cards, his penchant for practical jokes, enjoyment of sports and skill as a gardener. Born May 1, 1919 to Henry Lints and Margaret Schweitzer, Harvey took all of his schooling at Decker school and was conscripted into the army in 1941. He joined the Air Force in 1942, trained as a wireless operator and was stationed on the west coast of Canada and Alaska. In 1946, he came home and took over the family farm. He was an active member of the legion, chairman of the Decker school board and draw master for the curling club. Harvey married Audrey Little in 1950 and they had three children Barb, Kelvin and Doris. Audrey passed away suddenly in 1969. Harvey married Mabel Kirk Asselstine in 1975. Mabel had two children, Daryl and Cheryl. Harvey was predeceased by his wife Audrey (Little), step-son Daryl Asselstine, brother-in-law Edson Boyd, sister Doris Boyd, brother-in-law Bill Little and son Kelvin. He will be missed by his wife Mabel of Neepawa, daughter Barb (Scott) of Calgary and children Alyssa (Chris), Kristen (Mark), and Tim (Kate); daughter-in-law Wanda of Pilot Mound and children Derek (Jill) and Audrey (Dan); step-daughter Charyl (John) of Winnipeg and children Karl and Chad; daughter Doris (Dean) of Brandon and children Megan ( Eric), Mark (Ingrid), Katelyn (Blake), Lacey (Jordan) and twelve great grand-children. Donations may be made in Harveys memory to a charity of your choice.
