SCHUDDEMAT: Mr. Bill Schuddemat of Souris, MB. passed away at the Souris Health Centre on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the age of 81. James William (Bill) Schuddemat was born on March 8, 1936 to Jim and Lucie Schuddemat on the farm in the R.M. of Cameron. Bill was raised on the farm and attended school just a couple of miles west of home. He met and later married Thelma Dennison (Winnipeg) in 1966 and they moved to the farm just a mile east of the homestead. They had two children, Christine and Sandra. Bill and Thelma lived on the farm until 1996 when they retired to Souris. Thelma passed away (1996) and later Bill met Doreen Edgar, his companion over his remaining years. Bill loved to spend his time visiting, fishing, hunting, and camping at Oak Lake. Bill was predeceased by his wife, Thelma and by his parents, Jim and Lucie Schuddemat. He is survived by his sister, Cathy (Moe) DeVrieze and brother, Arthur (Linda) Schuddemat; two daughters, Christine and Sandra (Dallas); six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and their families. A public graveside funeral service for Bill will take place at the Napinka Cemetery, Napinka, MB. on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend. Plan to bring a lawn chair to the cemetery in June.
