HEAPE: Peacefully, on Monday, December 25, 2017, William David "Dave" Heape passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Dave was born in Hartney, Manitoba on October 19, 1944. Beginning at age 14, he worked for a local farmer and later in his teens began assembling machinery for Coop Implements Limited (CCIL). Dave went on to work as a salesman for CCIL in Pilot Mound at age 20 and in 1966 he married Evelyn Hardy. He was transferred to Carma, Manitoba with CCIL and then to Neepawa where he became Depot Manager. He continued in the role of Manager in Brandon until he took on the position of salesman for JRS Enterprises. It had been his dream to own his own business so he purchased the business, renamed it JRS AgriSales and ran it for approximately 10 years until his retirement. In his retirement Dave continued to enjoy his hobby farm, cattle, machinery and grandchildren. He enjoyed visiting with friends and family on the farm and a few trips to Ontario to see his grandchildren. Dave always had a kind word for those he met and enjoyed talking with all of the customers and farmers he worked with through the years. He will be missed for his knowledge of farming, machinery and cattle as well as rides on the lawn tractor. Dave is survived by Evelyn Heape (Hardy) his devoted wife of 51 years; daughters Connie (David), Debbie (Curtis); grandchildren Katie, Carter, Christian, Jenna and Grayson; siblings Tom (Carol), Wayne (Linda), Kathy (Al) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister Mabel "Meg" (Richard). A Come and Go Reception in honour of Dave's Life took place at Memories Chapel on Friday, December 29, 2017. Donations in memory of Dave may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 1 Wesley Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4C6. Expressions of sympathymay be made atwww.memorieschapel.com
