BOULTON: Margaret Hope Boulton (nee Jelfs), October 17, 1937-November 25, 2016. At peace, and knowing she was in the thoughts and prayers of so many friends and loved ones, Mom died the evening of November 25, 2016. Margaret was a loving wife, a caring Mother, a beloved sister and aunt, and a cherished friend. Born and raised on the Jelfs farm in Foxwarren, she was an accomplished 4-H member, of special note winning her incredible trip to Toronto as a teenager, a dedicated school teacher and a spirited snowmobile racer. Throughout her life, St. Georges Anglican Church in Birtle was a source of much joy, music, laughter and comfort. Her love of meeting new people and ensuring they were a part of the community led to life-long friendships and real-life stories of Guess Whos Coming to Dinner. Moms love of travel and adventure led her to hike mountains, wander through the markets of Istanbul and host a Christmas dinner in Shanghai. The family thanks the compassionate caregivers from Victoria to Virden, especially the support of Dr. Honiball, Dr. Daoud and the nurses in Russell and Virden Palliative Care. My ongoing gratitude to my extended St. Georges family. Donations can be made in Margarets honour to St. Georges Anglican Church in Birtle.Mom, your kindness, your enthusiasm for life, your elegance and your love, touched so many around the world~may we continue to be inspired.BOULTON: William Lorne Boulton, January 14, 1936-May 6, 2017. Adoring husband, loving Father, caring family member and generous friend, Dad died on May 6, 2017 as the spring sunshine began to warm the fields. Lorne grew up on family farms in Beulah and Birtle, with being outside in nature, caring for animals and giving back to the community all themes that would continue through his life. As a young man he played hockey and started his hunting career with gopher tails (each worth a penny) and fishing in the Birdtail River. Known for his farming and gardening skills, there was hardly a vegetable that Dad couldnt convince to grow and he took such pride in keeping our farm beautiful and productive. He honed his sportsman and story-telling skills catching Master Angler fish, hunting with our beloved black labs and giving the toast to the bride at many a wedding. The family thanks the caregivers in Birtle, Russell, Brandon and Virden, especially the support and compassion of Dr. Honiball, Dr. Daoud, Erin Nolan and all the nurses that cared so gently for Dad. My appreciation continues to my extended St. Georges family, and my adopted family at Bolton Place. Donations can be made in Lornes memory to St. Georges Anglican Church in Birtle.Dad, you taught me to be generous, to work hard, to love nature and all it gives, and to take the time to make people smile ~may I shine at them all.
