BATT: Bernie Batt passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the age of 70 years. He was born in Brandon, Manitoba to Marry and Bernard Batt. Bernie graduated from Brandon Collegiate. He lived his youth living large and hard. He was a jack of all trades working many labour jobs, for the railway, travelling with carnival, detailing cars, setting up lighting for concerts both at the WMCA and the Keystone Centre. Some of Bernies greatest joys were fishing, being a member of the Master Anglers, gardening, treasure hunting and spending time with his grandsons. Bernie always said that his life never really started until he married the love of his life, Janet. Left to cherish is memory is his wife Janet, daughter Kimberley (Curtis) and her three sons Alex, Dane and Quin and daughter Chastity. He is also survived by his in-laws Herb and Alice Haithwaite, brothers-in-law David (Pam) Haithwaite, Paul (Laura) Haithwaite, Eric (Sherry) Haithwaite, niece and nephew Janine Haithwaite and Wesley Haithwaite and his ever faithful buddy, Axel. In keeping with Bernies wishes no funeral service will be held. A private family service will be held at a later date.
