DARBISHIRE: With great sadness we anouunce the passing of John David, on April 28, 2018 at Brandon Regional Hospital, Brandon Manitoba in his 88th year. Formerly of Simcoe, Ontario, he is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years Jean Darbishire. Predeceased by his brother Alex. He will be dearly missed by his children Barbara Earls (Murray, deceased), David (Linda) Darbishire, Craig Darbishire, and Margaret (David) Smith. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. John retired after 40 years from Breyers, starting his career by driving truck with J.B. Jackson Limited. John loved to fish and was an avid card player, enjoying many rousing games of Rummoli with his family throughout the years. He was a member of the Phoenix Club and the Simcoe Legion Branch 79, and after they moved to Manitoba in 2010, he found yet another club to join and was able to continue his bridge and cribbage playing. A family memorial service and interment will take place at a later date.
