LUND: Madeline Lund, June 5, 1937 - November 23, 2016. Always loved and dearly missed. It is with great sadness that the family of Madeline Lund announce her passing on November 23, 2016. Madeline is survived by her husband Gilmour of Stony Plain, her children, Donna (George) Friesen of Yellowknife, Jim Lund of Kamloops, Bertrand Lund of Spruce Grove; grandchildren, Sydney Friesen, Lisa Bunt, Lena Lund, Olivia Lund, Kayla Lund, Colton Lund; great-granddaughter Alyse Lund; brother Howard (Donna) Thorne of Brandon, and numerous nieces and nephews. Madeline was predeceased by her parents John and Adelia Thorne, brothers Roy Thorne, Clifford Thorne (WWII), Joe Thorne, Norman Thorne, Jack Thorne, sister Jean Erickson and grandson James Bunt. Mom, you always had the eyes that saw the best in people and a heart that was full of forgiveness and acceptance. You’ve shown us the best of the world and this is a gift that we will always treasure in our hearts. You’ve shown us how to live a humble life and the rewards that come with it. You are missed but will never be forgotten.Interment of her ashes will be at the Bend Cemetery, Strathclair, MB on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.
