MAY: Nolan Ryan John May 1997-2018. Its with heavy hearts that our family announces the accidental passing of Nolan May on August 22, 2018 in West Kelowna at the age of 21. A private visitation took place on August 25, 2018 in West Kelowna, followed by cremation. Nolan was born on February 14, 1997 in Brandon, MB and attended JR Reid Elementary School. He then attended Crocus Plains High School, graduating in 2015. Nolan was always a curious child and liked to build things or tear them apart to see how they worked. He was full of energy and mischief and was at times quite a challenge to his parents and teachers. He had a contagious smile and loved to entertain people, making them laugh with his goofy antics. Growing up, Nolan enjoyed playing hockey, camping, biking, longboarding and playing board games and cards with his family. He was always willing to try new and unique things like juggling and unicycling. He enjoyed going on many trips with his family, especially those that involved roller coasters and thrill rides. Universal Studios was his favorite. After graduation, Nolan moved to Kelowna and began working in various areas of construction, primarily the stucco trade. He always took great pride in his work and would show his family buildings he had worked on when they came to visit. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing and downhill skiing. He enjoyed hanging out with friends, playing cards and loved tinkering. Nolan always made friends easily. He had a big heart and would not hesitate to help out anyone in need, whether it be a friend or stranger. Nolan was predeceased by his grandfather Arthur May, grandmother Marie May, grandfather John Druwe, grandmother Marguerite Druwe, Aunt Phyllis (May) Rolfe, Uncle Les May and Uncle Arnold May. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his parents Austin and Melissa May of Brandon, MB, sister Kaitlyn May of Dauphin, MB, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
