HENDERSON: On October 11, 2018 Eugene (Gene) Henderson passed away peacefully at Bayside Personal Care Home. He was born February 4, 1930 in Bannerman to Inga and James Henderson. He was predeceased by his sisters Faye and Ode Mae. Gene farmed, trapped and had a successful tree/arbor business for many years. He had many interests and passions. He spent many hours in his “Map Shack” where he enjoyed collecting and cataloging his maps and treasures. He loved gardening and had a passion for his dogs. He spent his life in the Henderson School District. He reluctantly moved to Killarney when he was able to entrust his dog Hugo to Ross and Julie. Hugo retired to the West Coast. Gene leaves behind his beloved wife Beth of 67 years, daughter Janice and sons Ross (Julie), Warren (Nathalie). He was predeceased by sons Vernon, Marcus and son-in-law Wally. He has 8 grandchildren Ashley, Lauren, Ian, Shannon, Travis, Simone, Charles and James. Great-grandchildren Holden, Landon, Nixon, Kinsley and Aimee. He was loved by his extended family of nieces and nephews across Canada. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. In lieu of flowers please contribute to a charity of your choice.
